The Joy is in the Hunt.

A true moment of transformation, this 1969 kitchen was thoughtfully reimagined to usher in light, warmth, and modern functionality. Without altering the home’s original footprint, the space was reworked from within—cabinetry was reconfigured, closets and a dated soffit removed—to expand the dining area, enhance natural light, and create a more fluid, inviting layout centered around a generous island designed for gathering.

The custom plaster-finished range hood anchors the room as a sculptural focal point, its elongated lines and integrated shelving balancing form and function while visually elevating the space. Custom-stained white oak cabinetry paired with honey bronze hardware introduces depth and warmth, while softly veined stone surfaces lend a quiet elegance. Layered lighting and an oversized sink complete the composition, resulting in a kitchen that feels both refined and deeply livable—a modern organic space grounded in craftsmanship, texture, and intention.
